Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri is facing new challenges everyday, both on a personal level coping with the changes in Bob and the behavioral issues with "Al". She is trying hard to get outside herself, to care about others and their challenges because she looks around and sees a world of pain, this is just her journey and we all have one.
Sheri is going to continue to pause , praise and pray.

Sheri is going to try harder to focus on the needs of others around her. She can not change the direction of the illness that has replaced Bob with "Al", but she can change the direction of her hearts energy toward others in need of love and prayer without feeling like she has abandon Bob. Life is so precious and short. Sheri needs to pause, praise and pray.

Sheri thinks she can, she thinks can, she thinks she can, now she just needs to do it.

Sheri thinks it is interesting that "Al" is able to take the same job Bob had at his last place of employment (code for Adult Day Center), and step into a new environment  and "Al" has still made Bob the boss. It is sort of like his safety zone, what he knows best and where he is most comfortable in "Al's" mind. So for "them"  everything is still the same, but for Sheri .... everything is very different.

Sheri is going to spend the day being thankful for friends, family and her faith.

"Al" asked Sheri to help him with Bob's nuts and bolts yesterday , he wanted to paint them purple because that is Iris's favorite color. Iris is Bob's oldest sister who passed away many years ago. Bob has called Sheri Iris many times, so it is nice to know they have something in common lol.

Sheri will miss her garden and feeding the birds, but she really thinks this is the best place she has lived. Her tiny house was very dark and for Sheri, that was depressing. She chose carefully when she picked an apartment at the community she manages, in fact she changed apartments several times in her mind before she chose this one, anticipating that she may be here for along time. The patio window faces east for morning sun, and the living room windows face west for evening sun. Then because it has windows on both sides of the apartment the light is amazing, along with the ability to get cross ventilation. Sheri is actually excited about being here. She is also quite amazed that she has actually downsized enough to fit in this space, it feels good to know that everything she owns are only the things that are most important to her, and that they are within these four walls. God is good, all the time.

Dear Bob, Please ask "Al" if he knows any other song he can whistle in his sleep.  Sheri loves "To God be the Glory" but Sheri always feels like she needs to stand up and praise God, but honestly, she does not sleep well that way. :)

Bob was a build anything fix anything kinda of guy. "Al" not so much, although "Al" does have a creative side Sheri never saw in Bob. "Al" banged and twisted away for hours to create this new pencil tip design :)

"Dear "Al", Bob did not appreciate the nine vanilla wafers in his .... well you know where you put them. It really made for a shall we say "crummy" nights sleep. :)

Dear "Al",
There is really no reason to sneak around and try to work on your nuts and bolts  at 2:30am. Sheri promises Bob will let you work on them during day... with the light on.

Sheri realizes Bob has lost his sense of self. As Bob looks around the working world he once was viable  part of, "Al" searches for who Bob was. Yesterday at the park "Al" though Bob had been the ice cream man. :)

"Al's" pockets brought Sheri quite a haul from "work" (code for Adult Day Center) yesterday. Sheri better be careful she may start getting billed for Bob's "work supplies."  :)

Sheri almost lost "Al" at the store the other day. Sheri has always tried to let Bob do as much as he can for himself so when they pulled into the parking lot,  as usual Sheri unbuckled Bob seat belt and asked him to get out while Sheri got out on her side of the car. Well Sheri dropped her keys on the ground and in the few split seconds it took her to find them and pick them up, "Al" had followed shall we say some other "pleasantly plump" lady with brown hair across the short street headed into the store. EEK! Sheri thinks she will leave the seat belt on "Al" until she gets around to the other door from now on. :(

"Al" has taken to walking with Bob's head down, carefully assessing Bob's next step, everywhere they go. It can make for a very, very long day. :)

Sheri is going to have to take Bob's pipe cleaners away. "Al" has become obsessed with trying to strip the fuzzies  of the pipe cleaners off ...with Bob's teeth to expose the wire. :(

Sheri needs to convince Bob to convince "Al" that bobby pins do not belong attached to Bob's undies. :)

Zoey the cat, loves helping Bob with his beads."Al" says the cat is helping him pick out which color to use. :)

Bob was never fond of the cats. Sheri thinks little Zoey the cat has changed Bob's mind...well maybe "Al's" mind, they have become bead buddies :)
