Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri keeps thinking about all the different journeys people are on. The reality is we are all in the middle of some type difficultly, life is difficult. She realizes if she spends to much time on her own hardships she will miss the the opportunity to support others in their own journey. There is much to be thankful for, including the things she has learned such as patience, creative thinking, patience, and more patience, and about who she is as a person. She tries hard to find happiness in the very simplest things in life, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. We were put on this earth to care for one another, and like Bob and "Al" one moment in time is all we are promised.

Galatians 6:2 

Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Bob was never fond of the cats. Sheri thinks little Zoey the cat has changed Bob's mind...well maybe "Al's" mind, they have become bead buddies :)

Sheri needed some time to get laundry and other chores done around the house so she gave Bob his beads and turned on his favorite singer Daniel O"Donnell. Part of the DVD apparently had a scratch in it and  the DVD got stuck. Dear confused "Al" acting on Bob's problem solving experience, reached down to his beads, and without looking up mumbled "maybe if I move these around a little bit it will come back on:)

Sheri is sure God has plan for her life. She is trying to be less of a worrier. God's plan will happen whether she worries about it or not.        

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

Sheri is humbled to have another article about her sometimes crazy life,  published the The Caregivers Voice web site. Sheri knows that there are other caregivers in the trenches of some form of dementia , that get no recognition, doing things way more difficult then she is, so she is dedicating this effort to bring light to the challenges all caregivers face to her comrades in care-giving everywhere. Living with Bob and "Al"

Last Friday , "Al" was naughty. He brought Bob's new magnet stick thingy to "work" (code for Adult Day Center) with him ... without Sheri's knowledge."Work " had to take it away from "Al" as he was swinging it in the air like a stick. It was waiting at the desk in a big white envelope along with a bolt taped on top, when Sheri got there to pick Bob up. Sheri guesses she needs to check "Al's" pockets and inside his shirt both coming and going from "work" now.  :)
