This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

It is so easy for Sheri to get trapped in her own sorrow. The world around her is full of tragedy, much worse than her own. She has so much to be thankful for, a job, the ability to have a home no matter where it is. A beautiful family, freedom, the choice to listen to the birds and go out and take pictures. She is trying to remember that each moment she spends thinking of the past , is a moment she is stealing from the future, and the future is gone with every passing moment.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
