Bob managed a hardware store in is last career. Always building this or that, before that he read intricate blueprints for remodeling retail stores."Al" is sitting staring at the 36 Alzheimer puzzle that 3 months ago he could put together in 4 hours or so. Now neither Bob nor "Al" can do this task. "Alzheimer's " is destroying Bob's brain, there is no end to this destructiveness. Sheri needs to remember to live one day at a time, appreciate what "Al" can do, and pause, praise and pray.
Matthew 6:34
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.
