This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Now that Sheri's foot is better, she is going to try to take better care of herself and get back on the treadmill that has been acting as a clothes rack for the last 6 months ( okay, maybe a little longer than that :). She even paid a little more and took Bob and "Al" to "work" yesterday, so she could get some routine medical tests done. Being a caregiver can take the life right out us, if we are not careful. Now if she could just get over her anxiety about getting back to a dentist.  :)
