This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Bob told Sheri (several times a day) over the weekend that he was able to convince his boss at "work" (code for (Adult Day Center) to hire a new guy. "Al" said nobody wanted to hire him because they thought another new guy would be too much work. Bob told them "If you train him right from the very first day he will be fine" and after a moment of thought with "Al's" thumb in Bob's belt loop stretching out Bob's back in his usual way "Al" said you just have to have patience with some people.. and they will call you Mr. Bob.
Oh my :)
