This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"
Sheri is excited to be walking with in the Alzheimer's Association "Walk to End Alzheimer"s" walk next Saturday. Below is a link to her donation page. If you feel you have something you can give to help find a cure Sheri, Bob and "Al" would appreciate it. :)

Hi Sherrie,
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to let you know that you have been a huge blessing in my walk alongside my Dad in his journey through Alzheimers. He has now gone to Heaven and I'm sure he is celebrating with my mom and Jesus, etc. But I couldn't let time go by and not tell you how on so many really hard "valley of the shadow" days, I would open up your blog and it seemed you were dealing with the very same things and reminded me to trust the Lord to help us through it. Thank you for sharing you and your Bob and "Al"s very hard journey. I'm sure it has helped so many more than me, but I am very thankful to you and for you! Blessings as you continue your journey in walking your loved one home! : )
thank you so very much for your sweet comments. It is so good to know that others are being helped by sharing my story. I am so sorry about the loss of your father. Hugs and prayers to you!
