This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri just keeps thinking about all the loss in Nepal. She gets angry with herself when she realizes how selfish she is. There is so much hurt and pain in the world, she really has nothing of significance to complain about, in the larger scheme of things.

Psalm 34:18  “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

  1. Every life has value. The Bible tells us that. So you are not being selfish when you struggle with Alzheimer's every day. You like me are living a life that is mostly struggle, pain and sorrow.. Both mental and physical...So please don't think you are selfish...Its taken me time to realize that no one should have to suffer like those in Nepal or Us... Peter
