This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"
Sheri was fussing with the thermostat in this tiny house she rented. It is set to go to down to 62 during the day and at night, which is a tad to cold for Sheri and she can't figure out how to change it. Anyway as Sheri was mumbling to herself about it "Al" chimes in and let her know that they asked him to fix the heat at work (code for Adult Day Center) yesterday and only him. Sheri has not let Bob touch the heat since "Al" disconnected the boiler at the old house and attached the water hose to the hose outside, but it appears "Al" is still convinced otherwise. :)
