This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri's Bob has a "best buddy" at "work" (code for Adult Day Center) he is a Bob also. They sit together, sing together and talk about who knows what together. Unfortunately, the other Bob is moving to a memory care unit because his wife is moving to assisted living. Sheri's Bob has already sensed that Bob S. has been in distress. Sheri thinks the separation from Bob S. is going to be extremely hard on her Bob. She wondering if she can be creative and see if she can get away with saying that Bob S. got transferred to a different store?
