This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

There are so many subtle changes in Bob. Even things that are important to him like choir at "work" (code for Adult Day Center), or outings are fleeting moments now. Sheri is trying hard to just live each day just in the moment, and know that"Al" enjoys things, in the moment. But this is hard, and sometimes it feels impossible to remember that God is in control and that she may never understand why she is on this journey. Sheri's heart hurts.

Second Corinthians 16
16 So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.
