This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

"Al" was very upset when Sheri picked him up from work  (code for Adult Day Center) yesterday, with a co-worker who appears to be quite the know it all. This person keeps telling wild tales about having been to the moon and back, making loud outbursts and blows a whistle in the middle of the work day. Bob, with his thumb in his belt loop stretching out his back in his usual way said " everyone just tip toes around this guy, not me I have had enough... I told him perhaps he better find a job he is better qualified for."
Eek... Sheri is sensing a staff meeting coming on.  :)
