This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Bob got in the car and told Sheri he had 4 new people to train at work (code for Adult Day Center) today. Three minutes down the road "Al" retold the story and it was 7 new people to train at work. Five minutes down the road Bob stretching out his back in his usual way said "I didn't tell you ...I had 10 new people to train today. The problem with that is, then I had no time to take care of my own work. Well at least I get them in on the ground floor and trained in my way."
Oh the dear man, once and workaholic always a workaholic.  :)
