This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

"Al" is getting up several times a night now, thinking it is time for "work". Sheri has installed a door alarm, and getting ready to try the bed alarm. Even with as much knowledge has she has gathered about this disease... it is hard to believe it has come to this.

Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

  1. A low dose of melatonin has helped my dh sleep a little better. He still wakes at least twice nightly, but does go back to sleep quickly. Sally
