This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri knows Bob's reasoning and judgment button is broken, but it frustrates her so much when Bob's back is so bad he can hardly keep himself upright, but "Al" will stop and try to pick up a inch piece of fuzz on the floor, causing his back to bend in such a way that the momentum going forward of his 6'4 frame is irreversible. If Sheri had not been close by the dreaded FALL would have this weekend going in a much different direction. Why does he insist on doing that?
