This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri is pleased and humbled that her blog was chosen to be on the "Top 25 Alzheimer Blogs of 2013"  list from Healthline.com. When she started her blog it was simply a way of dealing with her feelings of depression and isolation this disease brings. Now with readers from around the world, Sheri knows she is not alone, and that her daily struggle is shared by many. The comments and emails of support she has received have been such a blessing. Thank you for everything. Click the link below to view the list Sheri's is slide 18.

Congratulations Sheri! Janet and I read you every day. We think back 50 plus years to when we went to school with Bob in PA and think about the way he was...a big strapping, happy, tuba playing boy on his way to you. If wishes would come true, we'd wish to go back and start all over again.
