This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri bought those small Off bug repelling gadgets that hook to your belt, because the mosquitoes have been so bad in her "not quite her garden" garden this year they have not been able to enjoy the new swing the girls got her for Mothers Day. Sheri had no idea the gadget would confuse Bob so much. After "Al" tried using it as a walkie talkie, and then like an electric shaver, Sheri thought it might be best to pretend it was time for bed and retreat back into the house.   :)
Ah...the best laid plans
