This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Bob was always the problem solver. Yesterday Sheri took Bob and "Al" out to a park to take pictures, part of their weekend routine during the summer. Sheri was excited to see a Green Heron at a park where there is not usually any wildlife. In idle chit chat, she was expressing disappointment that the bird was moving through the woods and was not sitting very still for her photo session. "Al" scratching Bob's head after much thought said " I know, next time we should just bring a little basket to put it in, so you can get it's picture."   :)
Dear man.
