This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri has 2 cats Meeko and Zoey. She does not feed them any people food, hence they do not normally jump up or try investigate when they smell food. But lately both of them have been jumping up at the first sign of food and Sheri could not understand what had changed... until last night when she looked down to see the gram crackers that "Al" swipes from "work"  (code or Adult Day Center) crumbled up in the cat dishes.
Heavy sigh...

  1. my DH frequently feeds our cat - by pouring a large amount of dry food...... into the side of the cat dish holding the water. " They" are just trying to help !! :P
