This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Bob is speaking "Al's" confused thoughts so often now. Yesterday Sheri loaded Bob and "Al" in the car and decided to go for a drive. Sheri was never much of a driver, but has found a new peace in getting in the car and and escaping her day to day routine. Anyway she wound up in small town that had an adorable sign and an adorable building to go with it.

Sheri thought this is great, Bob will love this! They pulled into the parking lot it was very busy, about 25 cars in the lot. Sheri turned to Bob and said "How about this place, the largest candy store in Minnesota!" "Al" scanning the parking lot turned to Sheri and said "Wow...look at this place...they must sell cars too."   :)
