This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Bob is frustrated with Sheri again, his jaw is clenched tight off to one side. He tossed the butter knife in the sink as Sheri stopped him from eating his 4th bagel in one sitting. He just does not know that he just ate. One of Bob's doctor told her that most people with his degree of memory loss are not this mobile ( Sheri thought that was kind of funny because she does not see him as very mobile, between his back and his knee, but she understands what he means) therefore keeping him out of trouble and the refrigerator is that much harder. Time for a new plan.  :)
