Sheri has been way to busy the last couple of months, to allow herself to feel. Things are calming down a bit now. Minnesota is turning back into the frozen tundra again, just as Sheri's feelings about being an Alzheimer spouse are beginning to thaw.
Sheri hates this disease.
This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

So do I Sheri...I hate AD. My poor mother is finally getting help to take care of my 80 year old dad. He does have some days still when I can talk to him on the phone. Breaks my heart that I don't know if he will know me the next time I get to see him. Hugs from a longtime reader or yours! Here is a question for you. How do people that don't know the Lord handle this devastating disease? I am so glad that we all know him!
