This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Sheri is feeling pretty good about the fact that Bob and "Al" have adjusted so well to the new house. She is a little concerned however, that he told some one last night at bible study that his mothers name was Maria, and when we left "Al" had on someone else 's shoes...  :)

  1. Oh, my goodness...wonder where he came up with another pair of shoes. Too funny! My dads friend from church bought him a very nice pair of shoes with velcro. He would tie my dads shoes in Sunday School. He was afraid that daddy would fall. Not related at all I know...just made me think of the many good people in church. :)
