Proverbs 15:13- "a happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit."
This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al
Sheri has noticed that Bob and "Al" seem to be fairly happy now. Whistling (all the time) they laugh more, even try to make a joke or two, although "Al" looses track of Bob's thoughts so Bob get frustrated if he can't tell the punch line. But even so, somehow there is a simple happiness about him. Sheri will take it for what it is worth and cherish the moments, because she knows things change fast in the Alzheimer world.
