This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al
Sheri was a little frustrated last night. Those weather warning maps and beeps kept popping up on the TV screen, you know the ones, the ones that can help if it is your area but when it is not it is just irritating. They scroll across the bottom of screen? Well they come across every few minutes, and every time they did "Al" would lean towards the TV and gasp saying "a-oh where are my glasses I can't read that" after the fifth time of Sheri explaining not to worry it was not our area, Sheri just gave him his glasses, waited a few minutes... and then turned the TV off. :)
