This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri felt helpless yesterday. "The boys" were not in a good place when Sheri got there. One of the other residents was being very verbal and very angry the entire time she was there, no telling how long that had been going on or would continue. Sheri thinks her behavior was rubbing off on" the boys" and everyone else. :(

    Poor Bob does not look happy. So true that other's bad moods can affect all. I'm sorry it was a bad day and hope that today is better.

    From what I understand it is the nature of the disease. Bout's of anger can be hard to control. The persons brain is changing. It is a constant. It seems you are doing the best you can for your husband. Cut yourself some slack for heavens sake. He has his new home now, with care and help with the issues that are arising with his health. Continued, best thoughts to you Seri. Go out and take more photo's.It is a nice day. Or go to the State Fair!

    You are younger than him as well, time passes so quickly, as you know. We are no spring chickens, but yet we can have a life, other than caregiving. Think about it,
