This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri took Bob and "Al" to do some grocery shopping. When they got home Bob was working on moving his beads around on the tray. "Bob" hobbled into the kitchen where Sheri was cooking dinner. Sheri looked up from cooking and there stood Bob with the tray of beads in his hand. With concern on Bob's face "Al" said " Do you think they need to ring all these up separately ?" Sheri paused for a moment and then replied "that would probably be best" "Al" turned around and returned to his chair mumbling under his breath "yep... I thought that would best." :)
Heavy sigh...
