This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"
"Al" has an obsession with Bob's watch and sleeve :) Whistling away, this went on for over an hour. Simple pleasures Sheri simple pleasures :)
You are so incredibly amazing and patient with Al. I find myself in tears as I watch my dad dissolve in front of me. I admire your incredibly positive attitude. Such an inspiration.
4 years ... he's now 89. Friday he tried to clean the oven ... when no one was at home. Because I don't live with he and my 91 year old mom, it scares the bejeezus out of me.
Perfectionism Sheri! Love the whistling, so cute :) love and prayers to you, from Penelope in Oz.
