This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Every once in a while God gives Sheri an unexpected glimpse of Bob. Last night Bob awoke from a sound sleep, reached out and touched Sheri's hand and said  " you don't get all the accolades you deserve.... I love music" and fell back to sleep.  What a blessing that was. God is good, all the time.

2 Corinthians 4:16
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.

  1. Beautiful. Truly beautiful. Tender moments like that between Tom and I or even Tom's compliments and encouragement to our helpers really does something special in my heart. I too am grateful to God each time.
