This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri is wondering if she can convince "Al" to help Bob forget how bad his back hurts. Sheri thinks that's the least "Al" could do. After all there has to be some give and take in this three way relationship. :)

  1. Tom's back often hurts too. He's on his feet all but about an hour a day so they hurt too, calloused & bruised. "Al" hasn even been kind enough to let him go to bed readily for about a week or so. It even makes Tom mad at and rough with me. So yeah, a bit of "give" is the least it could offer by about 8:30-9, 9:45 tonight. Whew!
