This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri has realized she might be running in overdrive again. She has learned to recognize the symptoms. The depression sneaks up and tears start to flow. She thinks it might be time for a camera day. Taking pictures nurtures happiness for Sheri. Simple pleasures. she likes to call it. What nurtures happiness for you?

  2. Breathing, dancing (not anything fancy, just to favorite music), walking in the woods or in nature, and star gazing (when possible) are all activities that make me feel whole again and remind me of the big picture. This usually relieves my stress. <3
