This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri keeps hearing about the dramatic increase expected in Alzheimer's and other Dementia in the very near future. She looks around at all health related info and becomes overwhelmed at the thought of the projected numbers of Bob's becoming "Al's" with this disease. No wonder her anxiety is high, is the cause in the food we eat, the air we breathe, the products we put on our skin, the dish soap we use? Our world is saturating our bodies with chemicals and our brains are deteriorating. Sheri would like to go back in time to simpler, purer day, but even people who have tried that are being tested as many places are outlawing the right for people to grow there own food and have animals on there own property. Sheri has been trying hard to make better choices.
Sheri needs to pause, praise and pray, and so does our world.

  1. Sherrie,Alzheimer's may have been contributed my outside elements but my husbands Alzheimer's was inherited. People were suppose to die from heart disease or cancer before Alzheimer's set in
