This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Bob has a choir concert this week at "work" (code for Adult Day Center"). He is very concerned that if some of the choir members don't pay better attention at practice "he" may have to cut them.  :)

  1. I have never left a comment on any blog but I think I'm living a similar life just a year or so behind you and Bob. Thanks for the laughs and tears from enjoying your posts. We are on the Wet coast of Canada and my wife also was diagnosed at age 64 although we new something was very wrong for a number of years. I would say stay strong but sometimes even that is too much effort...

    1. Peter, I am so sorry you are in this place as well. Thank you for the kind words. If the blog helps you in anyway then sharing my life on the world wide web is worth it. :) Thank you for the feed back, and for reading. Stay strong.
