This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Bob and "Al" are sharing space
"Al is not sure of the time, or place

Sheri holds on to the life that they had
But she is tired and lonely, her heart is sad

Bob was so strong, with soft brown eyes
"Al" is growing feeble, leading a life full of lies

Sheri is depending on God for her strength
Bob depends on Sheri to keep "Al" close and safe.

Hebrews 13:5 Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
