Living in the Shadow of Alzheimer's: Living with Bob and "Al"

This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Bob was never really a TV watcher, but Sheri realized there are a few topics that "Al" is interested in. Sheri found a DVD set about the all National Parks. Bob and "Al" fell in love with it. Of course "Al" is sure he has been to all of them, he remembered being in the woods and small buildings. Sheri knows it is not true... but does it really matter? Sheri thinks she is finally learning she does not always have to be right, and Sheri got a much needed break to do some indoor photography :)
