This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

The frozen tundra is very depressing this winter. Each new coat of snow is beautiful, but Sheri feels trapped by the deep cold and Bob's pain. "Al's" confusion seems to have been morphed by his pain, and his mobility seems more restricted then ever. "Alzheimer's makes everything more difficult, Sheri not complaining here
(okay, maybe just a little) but it is what it is, just explaining her life.

1 Corinthians 14:33
For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.

  1. Sheri-
I wish I could send you some of our weather. It's chilly today (46 degrees) for us, but really sunny and bright.

Hoping that winter hurries along for you.
