This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Well, Sheri is starting to feel better with the help of antibiotics and the amazing power of prayer. Bob and "Al" are struggling with their shoulder and remembering to keep the sling on. Sheri is not sure if it is an Alzheimer thing or not but "Al" will do things he should not do even if it causes pain. It is like he has no connection between movement and pain... until he stops. :)
Thank you prayer warriors.

  1. Bless you Sheri. You are an inspiration to me. I am not far behind you in the journey with my "AL". Love the format of your blog. You manage to sum things up in a few lines. Thank you.
