This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Bob still gets frustrated that he is not allowed to drive and doesn't understand why he can't. He wants Sheri to get him a motorcycle. (For some reason he doesn't think that counts as driving.)  Yesterday when driving home from "work" they approached an intersection "Al" said " Boy you think they would fix that, that is enough to confuse the hell out of anyone, look at all the arrows going different directions."
Sorry Bob not even a bicycle for you. :)
P.S. And please tell "Al" to watch his mouth.

    My husband also still has not accepted that he can't drive after over a year. He has also asked for a motorcycle or

    Soo relate to your posts. My husband also has not accepted that he can't drive. Thinks he could get a motorcycle or bicycle too! Breaks my heart.
