This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri took Bob and "Al" to a music in the park concert last evening . "Echos of Elvis" was playing and it was great fun. Bob sang to his hearts content. They got home and got ready for bed. Sheri was anxious to see how the pictures came out ( after all it was Elvis) So she downloaded them and showed them to Bob. As Elvis appeared on the computer screen she said to Bob "boy theses turned out good." Bob replied " What are they?" Sheri said pictures from the concert tonight", "Al" staring blankly at Sheri said " what concert?"
Live in the moment Sheri , live in the moment.  :)
