This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri is giving the control back to God. It is so easy to forget to do this. She is remembering that these earthly problems are not what the purpose of her life is. She can not stop the confusion, or the pain. She can not wish away Alzheimer's or Bob and Al's physical pain. She is going to do her best to stay positive through this holiday season, through prayer and thankfulness. Even as she repeats for the hundredth time for "Al" that "Thanksgiving is on Thursday, and to turn left as you exist the bathroom."  :)
