Sheri lays Bob's clothes out in the bathroom every day. Yesterday she laid out a clean pair of black jeans for him. When he came out of the bathroom he was all dressed, shirt tucked in and wearing the clean black jeans and Sheri mentioned to him that his belt and wallet were on the bed, in the jeans he wore yesterday. Bob replied "Oh, okay thank you." She went back a few minutes later to see how Bob was doing. "Al" was, rather than taking the belt out of his dirty jeans and putting it on, undressed again and putting on the dirty pair of jeans. :)
Oye vay.
This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.
