This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

There are many changes again at home. Daughter number 1 ( the one who wears her heart on her sleeve) moved into her own apartment this weekend. Sheri is truly happy for her... She needs to start living a 22 years old life like she is suppose to. Daughter number 2 ( the one who shields her heart with her sleeve) is back at college. She is dealing with so many emotions about different things right now. Both daughters are afraid precious time will slip away with their Dad. Once again Sheri's sleeves are just not big enough to catch all the tears of their lives.
