This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

At church yesterday there was a hour long sermon and slide show on the devastation in Haiti by one of the church supported Missionary's there. Bob had listen intently during the presentation and even showed some slight  emotion when the pictures of the children were shown. They left the church and got in the car to head home. Sheri said " wow it so sad to see that type of devastation in Haiti." "Al" replies with concern in his voice " What happened in Haiti? I guess I haven't heard about that." Sheri has to wonder what it is like to live inside of "Al's head. Sheri hates this disease.
