This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Last night coming home from bible study, the frozen tundra was starting to live up to its name. The snow was falling quite heavily. Sheri approached a stoplight and "Al" looked up at the yellow light of a near by streetlight and said to Sheri "wow look how close the moon is" Sheri replied "well, that is a street light." "No, I don't think so "said "Al" looking across another parking lot. "Because street lights are white and the moon is yellow."  :)

  1. One time my Mom and I were traveling and I stopped at a motel for the night. I had registered and then moved the car and told Mom we were going in. She looked at me and said "no honey we're not married."

My answer was there are two beds it will be ok.

There mind just works in different ways.
