This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.

Living with Bob and 'Al"

Sheri has to remember that Bob is still here. She has a friend that lost his father a few days ago. He talks deeply about wanting to see his father's face again. Sheri needs to meditate and pray about that. Even thought Bob and "Al" are sharing space, Sheri can still look in to Bob's deep set brown eyes and see the reflection of the man he was. Sheri should be more grateful.

    I love your blog. My dad is suffering from some form of dementia. A diagnosis is coming soon. You have done such a good job of seperating the man from the illness. God bless you.
