This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Daughter number 2 (the one who shields her heart with her sleeve) will be headed back to college soon. She tries hard not to show her feelings to Sheri. It has been one disappointment after the other this summer for her and Sheri knows it. Daughter number 2 just rolls with the flow no matter what. Shifting her mind set to whatever changes next. Being the list maker, the task taker. She feels all the same same things as Daughter number 1, she just hides them behind her sleeve.
Sheri hates this disease.
