This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al
Bob has never had any interest in what he wears. So little in fact, that when Bob came to pick pick her up for their first date, Sheri sent him back to his hotel to change his pants, the ones he had on looked like a pair from the fifty's because they were way up above his ankles.(No Sheri is not kidding, and it was 1989). Anyway when Sheri picked up Bob and "Al" from "work" yesterday, Bob sits down in the car looks at his shirt and pants and says "next time we should get me some pants this color", as he points to the beige color in his shirt. Sheri says " Oh you mean khaki color?" "Al" says "Yes, all the guys at work are wearing them." Sheri, somewhat shocked by the request, responds " Sure, we can do that." Smiling to herself Sheri is not sure when "they" became so fashion conscious, but Sheri has been trying to get Bob to take an interest for 22 years, so secretly that made her day! ( Simple pleasures, simple pleasures)
