This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Well, Sheri is working on her very long list of to do's now that she is not going to be able to move her family to Texas. Bob and "Al" continue to enjoy their "job" at work, code for "Adult Day Care". ( a major blessing) Sheri is learning to rely on her faith, in a new way. She needs a new "plan" as Bob would have said. She needs a job and a place to live. She knows God will provide for her. She is living with one foot in the Red Sea.  On second thought, maybe this was the plan?

  1. Praying for you Sheri. A friend told me recently that God was going to take care of me not to worry. I was going through a rough patch. Nothing compared to what has been happening to you and your family. But I am here to tell you that God will take care of you! I believe that. Hugs, Karen

  2. I have so many things I need to do but can't . No time or money. We always have enough money to pay or bills but that is it. So I am thinkful . I think the Lord daily for always seeming to have just enough to get by. I do wish I could figure out how to get a little more and still be able to care for mom. Working and praying on that. Good luck.
