This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Sheri is trying to remember that this life is a faith journey
And that the hand of God will reach down and pluck her from her sorrow.
Maybe it will not be in the way Sheri expected, but it will happen...
She may need to look past the confines of her mind and be open to new creative ideas to get help
taking care of Bob and Al.
Maybe the pride she has always had in being able to provide for her family
Is the exact thing that God wants Sheri to lean on him for, and to let others in to help.
maybe Sheri can't "bring home the bacon, fry it up in the pan" or however that song went years ago.
And just maybe when she trusts God's plan, she may find a peace that she has wanted all of her life.
And Sheri will know it was not by accident.

Psalm 84:12
12 O LORD Almighty, blessed is the man who trusts in you.
