This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Bob called Sheri again yesterday, wondering what "the plan" was.
Sheri said she was at work, and that she would stop by on her way home.
When Sheri got to the nursing home he was somewhat
upset about things the speech therapist was doing with him,  his jaw clenched tight-
Bob was muttering something about playing chess "a total waste of time"
and "that it is time for him to get a job and make some real money"
he wanted to know "who was running the show here anyway"
And then Sheri helped "Al" rediscover the white binder with "the plan" in it.
And taped his back exercises from the physical therapist back up on the wall...again.
